In short, enterprise informatization is the main task, while e-commerce is the main task

each of the above views holds its own opinion and has correct elements, but they are all one-sided and fundamentally incorrect. The key to its inaccuracy lies in putting enterprise informatization and e-commerce in the same category and at the same level. It is believed that the difference between enterprise informatization and e-commerce is only reflected in the difference in scope and stage, but only in "quantity"

the reason for the above views and understandings is that since enterprise informatization comes first, especially the professionals who have been engaged in enterprise informatization for a long time can easily and naturally understand and apply e-commerce from the perspective of enterprise informatization with the ideas, systems and methods of enterprise informatization. In the past 20 years, China's enterprise informatization is basically driven by technology. Therefore, it is "logical" to recognize enterprise informatization and even e-commerce from the perspective of technology or technology application. In addition, when it comes to commerce, it is associated with commerce, market and trading. E-commerce with the word "commerce" is also rejected, and it is only connected with the external (market) application of information technology. In particular, many people do not or are not deeply aware of the great changes that have taken place or are taking place between the enterprise and the market over the years, and still insist on separating the enterprise from the market. In fact, the enterprise and the market are interacting and integrating. It belongs to the category of production relations

between enterprise informatization and e-commerce, there is no problem of who includes who, no problem of territory division, no problem of who comes first and who comes later. The difference is only the focus. The rise of e-commerce and its increasing attention have highlighted that with the advancement of the information process, the institutional aspects of business activities, processes, management, organizational forms and so on have been paid more and more attention. This is what CIOs should see and pay attention to, as well as the training of enterprise informatization and e-commerce talents
